Hideout Festival 101

You'll all be glad to hear that for my 5th and final blog post I'm not blabbering on about finding myself in Europe. However, still sticking with my travel theme today I'm giving some advice about booking the festival Hideout in Novalja, Croatia.

Ticket

Some on my friends bought tickets directly from Hideout, whereas I got a deal for shuttle bus and ticket on Festicket. We just got standard but you can get VIP which includes queue skips and top deck VIP areas. Do your research, early bird tickets are cheaper!

Flights

We ended up flying to Split which isn’t the closet airport but had a decent price and transfer time. The other airports are Zadar, Zagreb and Dubrovnik. I would check Skyscanner for the best prices. My friend waited later than us to buy flights and prices reached £500 a return and continued to rocket.

Transfers

The most decent transfer prices we could get were on Eufest. If you buy from Hideout they organise this.

Accommodation

My friends got accommodation on Eufest but you can get it organised on the Hideout website too. I stayed in an Airbnb and it was amazing, our host was so nice and the apartment was a short walk to the shuttle bus.

Shuttle Bus

I suggest getting a shuttle bus ticket as there is no accommodation directly beside the beach. Shuttles ran every 10mins in the town Novalja. You can purchase on the Hideout Website or at the festival.

Boat Parties

We went to the welcoming boat party which was perfect and not crowded. We also booked Peggy Gou’s boat party and this was packed, so I wouldn’t recommend because of this. If you want to go, tickets sell out so keep an eye on release dates.

Total Cost

With ticket, accommodation, flights, transfers, outfits and spending money in total I spent around 1.7 - 2k for the week. Now das expensive!

Extra Info

We pre-drank in the apartment which was cheap. At the beach there's bars outside the clubs. We always got jumbo cocktails which cost £12 outside club and £24 inside. You can carry the cocktails all around the beach and they make them as strong as you ask. During the day the pool parties are super fun, when you walk around the beach you may also see Croatian families as the beach is still open to the public. Five weeks of different festivals run here so the locals have to make the most of it. Your hideout ticket mainly allows entrance to clubs.

Overall

Although this holiday is pricey it's a great experience and I would definitely recommend. You can see some clips of our time below!
